In the early hours of this morning - they arrested a 24-year-old man at his home in Othweba near Cato Ridge.
The learner had been on her way to her school in Ntekwa to write an English Paper exam when she was attacked.

Education spokesperson - Kwazi Mthethwa has welcomed the arrest.
"It confirms what we've always been saying that people who want to abuse learners, don't belong in society - they belong behind bars. So we are hoping that ultimately the Magistrate will find the perpetrator guilty," he said.
The suspect is expected to appear in Camperdown Magistrate's Court on Friday.
