A man has drowned at Casuarina beach near Tongaat on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast.
Emergency services say beachgoers spotted the man's body floating in the water this morning.
Paul Herbst of IPSS Medical Rescue says the man, believed to be in his fifties, was reported missing last night.
Herbst says his car was found parked in the area.
"We have been looking since last night and the search continued this morning. The body was recovered and brought into Westbrook. Unfortunately, the man did pass away," he said.
