It is not clear how the bus caught on fire. Various services responded to the scene, one of them Rescue Care emergency services. The service's Ceron Lennox says fortunately there were no fatalities.
We arrived on scene to find the bus well alight with patients scattered everywhere and they had minor burn wounds to them," she said.
"There was no serious injury except for one patient that suffered a sever asthma attack. Rescue Care transported some of the patients to a nearby hospital for further treatment," Lennox said.
