East Coast Radio's traffic guy - Johann Von Bargen - is the longest serving traffic reporter on-air and can literally change the traffic flow of Durban based on his influential reports. Due to demand, the station has increased the number of traffic reports during the drive time shows. So we will now have a traffic report every 15 minutes on both The Big Breakfast and Just Plain Darren. Traffic hotline number: 031 566 3534

Durban's 755 traffic signals are monitored via the Area Traffic Control System which includes 154 closed circuit television cameras (CCTV).
