Supersport's neighbours Mamelodi Sundowns sank the other giants of Soweto, Orlando Pirates also 2-0 at Super Stadium. Amazulu beat platinum Stars 2-1, Maritzburg United drew 1-1 with Bidvest Wits, Moroka Swallows drew 1-1 with Black Aces, as did Bloem Celtic and Santos. Ajax Cape Town and Free State Stars drew goalless.
